Entering As-Builts for Work Locations and Features

With Bentley OpenUtilities Designer, you can flag selected work locations and features to indicate that they have been built. The default Actions menu of the Design Assistant provides a Mark Complete command for this operation.

When you enter partial as-builts, Bentley OpenUtilities Designer changes the life-cycle state of the completed work location or feature. For example, if you apply the Mark Complete action to a work location, the work location's state is changed from In Progress to Complete and the life-cycle states of all the features assigned to this location are changed to the appropriate as-built state (i.e., "Proposed Install" facilities are changed to "In Service" facilities and so on). This operation also updates your partition of the GIS. The master GIS database is updated to reflect as-builts when you perform a Mark Complete operation for the entire work request to which the design is attached (see Entering As-Builts for Work Locations and Features).

The specific procedures for entering as-builts for selected work locations and features will depend on how Bentley OpenUtilities Designer work request states and actions have been configured to conform to a company's work flow.
